This is a short policy because we collect very little. What follows is the whole of it.

What we collect

• The name you type when you post. You choose it. It can be a first name, a nickname, or nothing at all.
• What you post — the words, and any photo, video or audio you upload.
• A scrambled version of your IP address. We run it through a one-way hash with a secret key, store only the result, and use it solely to stop one person flooding a page. We cannot turn it back into your address.

What we do not collect

• No cookies. No analytics. No trackers. No advertising pixels.
• No account, no password, no email address, unless you are the person who set the memorial up.
• No location, no contacts, no device fingerprinting.

Where it lives

On Cloudflare, in the United States. Photos, video and audio sit in Cloudflare R2; everything else sits in a Cloudflare database. Cloudflare processes it on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.

How long we keep it

A memorial is meant to last, so posts stay up unless somebody removes them. You can delete your own post from the same device for 24 hours after you write it. After that, ask us and we will take it down. The person who set the memorial up can remove anything on it at any time.

Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to us and we will do it. If you are in the UK, the EU or California you have those rights by law; we apply them to everybody because there is no reason not to.

Children

This site is for people 13 and over. If you believe a child under 13 has posted something, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so on the site rather than hope you notice.
